Blast Injury

Blast injuries may be classified as follows, with higher numbers indicating a more severe injury and greater likelihood of early complications and poor end result, regardless of treatment.

Blast Injuries of the Hand
I Distal Phalanx or Soft Tissue Only
II Flexor Tendon Zone II Fracture or Web Space Laceration
III Zone II Amp / Degloved / Devascularized or Tendon Injury
IV Carpal or Metacarpal Fracture / Dislocation / Amputation
